Dr. Mbibi lost her mother and her sister to hypertension. She was very close to her family and their deaths hit her very hard. The loss gave her a determination to prevent others from meeting the same fate. Dr. Mbibi drew strength from her pain and founded Florence Fountains International.

She realized that hypertension and high blood pressure was a silent killer that was taking lives across Africa. So through her foundation, she decided to work to provide education awareness, health awareness and health facilities to the underserved people in African countries. She sought to educate people about the risks, consequences and causes of high blood pressure and hypertension. Her work so far has helped people in different parts of Africa get awareness about these health conditions and how it can be prevented.
